“I designed this sofa for the foyer of Genoa’s Carlo Felice theatre with Ignazio Gardella and Aldo Rossi in mind, i.e. both maestros and friends. I wanted to interpret the remote sense of their work and search for a relationship that has always been common to both of them, tradition and reason.” (Luca Meda).

The Primafila was designed by Luca Meda for Molteni & Co in 1991. The Molteni design brand is one of the world's leading furniture brands. Molteni's philosophy is to strive for excellence, quality and a unique design. The timeless designs by designer Luca Meda have been setting the tone in the furniture industry for years. This sofa was designed for the Carlo Felice theater. The shell is made of walnut wood and lined on the inside with dark blue velvet. The Primafila sofa was designed for the theater, as mentioned, and the meaning of Pirmafila is; front row. The Primafila sofa is a collector's item and can also be seen in the Molteni museum in Italy. The Primafila sofa is in very good condition
